The Digg social sharing website can be a useful tool for promoting
links. Digg allows users to submit URLs and share the submissions on
Facebook or Twitter, and other Digg visitors can vote on each link.
Content can quickly gain exposure if many Digg users find the link
useful or interesting.
Step 1
Browse to
Digg.com and click the "Sign In" button. Select Facebook or Twitter as
your login source. Enter your Facebook or Twitter user credentials and
click "Log In."
Step 2
Click "Submit a Link." This option is located on the bottom of the Digg homepage. A submission form appears.
Step 3
Type the URL that
you wish to promote on Digg. Include the address to the specific page
you want to
share, such as "http://www.example.com/article.html," and
click "Submit."
Step 4
Click on the
"Search" bar. Enter the name of the link that you have shared and press
"Enter." Locate the story on the list of results and click the "Share"
button.
Step 5
Select "Tweet
This" to share the link on Twitter, or select "Share to Facebook" to
promote the page on your Facebook profile. The Digg story will appear to
your followers on these social networking sites.
