Title is known as the face of any website or blog as the title appears largely in the search engine result page. It’s an important part of on page SEO. So, be sure to put your keyword in the title. Keyword works much better in the front part of title.
#5. Description:
Description is the second most important part of any site which appears right after the title. It gives a short description about the site or page which can greatly impact SEO ranking as well as click through rate (CTR). So, set your keyword in the description zone very tactfully both for SEO ranking and attracting visitors.
#6. Content length:
Now a days Google is emphasizing more on the length of content. Google thinks that long content can provide detail information regarding any topic which can satisfy it’s users. Thus Big G prefer the long contents to be ranked on the first page. Try to write at least 500+ words containing articles for better ranking. However, I will highly recommend you to decorate your site (basically blog) with articles that exceed 1000 words.
#7. Targeted keywords:
Without having knowledge about SEO and without doing deep keyword research you cannot write SEO friendly article. Thus you need to target your main keyword in your content. It’s better to keep the density of your main keyword between 1.5% to 2.5% in order to stay safe from Google.
#8. Image:

To make your link building process natural you must build inbound links. Inbound links means linking one page of your site with another page. Now a days this kind of link building process is working very well. It’s better to keep all inbound links dofollow as you are passing link value to your own site.
#10. Outgoing links:
To make your article more authentic sometime you have to create link of another webpage or site within your content. Please do remember to make all outgoing links nofollow as it will take away link value from your site. In some special cases you may use dofollow outgoing links.
DON’TS OF ON PAGE SEO IN 2015
#1. Spammy domain and hosting:
If you want to stay safe in the eye of major search engines, you must avoid all sorts of spammy domains and hosting servers. Don’t make any kind to link relation with spammy websites and blogs. Basically most of the free hosting services that allow to host webpages for free are full of spammy sites and contents. In addition, some free domain extensions such as .tk, .co.cc, .ml etc are also known as spammy sites. So, it’s better to avoid these kinds of free extensions as well.
#2. Over optimization:
Just like every other particle of the world optimization has both merits and demerits. If your site in not properly optimized it may not appear on the first page of Google, on the other hand over optimization will kick your site out of Google. So be very careful while optimizing your site. In order to stay safe you are not allowed to do some works such as:
Don’t exceed title more than 70 characters (68 character is better)
Don’t repeat your keyword in title and description
Don’t randomly input your keyword in content
#3. More outgoing links:
Sometime it becomes mandatory to create outgoing links as a part of resource or reference. Avoid making lots of outgoing links in a single page. Moreover don’t let the outgoing links be dofollow, make them nofollow.
#4. Using same description:
Using same description for several pages of a single site will surely bring disaster. This act is known as spamming to Big G. So, avoid using same and boring description for all your pages and stay safe from Google.
#5. Using same ATL tag in image:
This is the same case as description. Most of the people don’t care about this fact but ALT tag really impacts search engine ranking. I know the pain of punishment by Big G as I already suffered when I wrote the same ALT tag for several images in one of my niche sites. Therefore, never ever use same ATL tag for all images.
#6. High keyword density:
It’s good to keep keyword density from 1.5% to 2.5% depending on the length of your content for better on page SEO optimization. One wise suggestion is not to exceed the keyword density limit more than 5%. If you cross this limit of keyword density your site may get penalized by Google.
#7. Low quality and copy content
Low quality contents are the biggest reason of getting penalized by Google now a days. As Google has rolled out Panda 4.1 which is very wise algorithm in terms of identifying low quality and copy contents, you must be very careful in case of publishing new contents. Therefore, it’s good to publish only one high quality content instead of publishing 100’s of low quality and copy contents.
