How to Publish a Blog to Digg and StumbleUpon

When you find an informative or helpful blog post, there are instances where you may want to share such a post with as many people as possible. You might also have written a blog post of your own that you want to make sure others see. Social bookmarking sites like Digg and StumbleUpon are two websites used in situations like this. By publishing a blog post on these services you can increase the post's visibility and help it be seen by those who might find its content interesting.

Digg

Step 1

Visit the Digg website at digg.com.

Step 2

Click the "Sign in" link at the top of the screen and select either your Facebook or Twitter account to log in with.

Step 3

Enter your Facebook or Twitter account credentials on the next screen if you're not already logged into the service and then click "Sign in."

Step 4

Click the "Submit a link" option at the top of the screen.

Step 5

Enter the URL of the blog post you wish to share into the provided box and then click the "Submit" button to share the blog post to Digg.

StumbleUpon

Step 1

Navigate to the StumbleUpon website at stumbleupon.com.

Step 2

Click the "Sign in" link at the top of the screen.

Step 3

Enter your account email address and password to sign into your StumbleUpon account.

Step 4

Click the "Profile" tab to view your account profile.

Step 5

Scroll down the screen and click the "Add a new page" link in the left-hand sidebar.

Step 6

Enter the URL of the blog post into the "Web page address" field. Click "Yes" to assure StumbleUpon that the post contains no adult or pornographic material.

Step 7

Click the drop-down box to select a category for the post.

Step 8

Enter any additional topic tags you feel are relevant to the post into the "Add Tags" field.

Step 9

Click the "Add This Page" button to complete the post's submission to StumbleUpon.
